Shaq Makes These 10 Small Cars Look Pint-Sized

June 10, 2022

Beyond the cuteness factor, small cars have some advantages over their larger counterparts. Small cars tend to be more cost and fuel-efficient. They also tend to have higher maneuverability, and it is easier to find a parking spot. On the other hand, some disadvantages of small cars include a lower driving speed, potentially fewer safety measures and more cramping in the legs. Apparently, Shaq believes the advantages of driving small cars outweighs the disadvantages. In these hilarious ten photographs, Shaq squeezes his massive frame into small cars that seem even tinier because he sits inside of them.

Shaq Drives A Smart Car

Smart cars (the acronym stands for Swatch Mercedes ART) were first released by Daimler-Benz in 1998 and had since become popular vehicles. Many celebrities were spotted driving Smart cars including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Justin Beiber, Chad Johnson, Frankie Muniz and many of other celebrities, including, of course, Shaq. Despite the minuscule-appearing size of the vehicle, Shaq appears content and relaxed while driving his Smart car. Apparently, the vehicles are much roomier than they seem, which must be the case considering Shaq is a seven-foot-one giant. Good thing he likes to drive a fuel-efficient vehicle because he reportedly spends over twenty thousand dollars a month on gasoline for his travels.

Shaq Drives A Mini Jeep Wrangler

The smallest vehicle that could possibly fit Shaq is the Jeep Wrangler that he drove on the floor of The Conan O’Brien show. The toy vehicle was so small that Shaq fell backward off of it on his first attempt to sit inside, but his next try was successful, and he managed to sit gingerly atop the vehicle with his legs swung over the windshield. Beside him, the talk show host, Conan O’Brien, drove a mini police vehicle and apparently, O'Brien had practiced driving it because he mounted the vehicle effortlessly and the hilarious pair drove around the stage in the tiny vehicles.

Shaq Drives A Go-Kart

Not quite as small as the pink Jeep Wrangler but still tiny for a large man like Shaq, he races around the stadium in a go-kart looking like a giant kid on Christmas day. Maybe there is an apple pie waiting for him at the finish line. While he appears like he is having fun, he may be experiencing some twinges of pain. There has been at least one incident of Shaq getting stuck in a go-kart, and he needed four grown men to help pull him out. He kept his sense of humor all the while and likely, was not deterred from his love of go-kart racing.

Shaq Drives An Extended Custom Ferrari

The only way Shaq could fit inside of a Ferrari was to have it custom stretched out to accommodate him. His legs need extra room to rest and maneuver, his seat requires more width, and the roof of his vehicle needed raising to accommodate his height. Clearly, with all of the modifications, there is plenty of room for Shaq in his custom-made Ferrari, but, particularly in the seat, it still appears as though he could use a little more room. While the extra bulk of the vehicle might affect its ability on the roads, Shaq seems to care less about it.

Shaq Drives A Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Shaq does not mind signing an autograph on a basketball for a young fan from the driver’s seat of his Mercedes-Benz S-Class while making a pit stop. The S-Class has experienced ranking as the world’s best-selling luxury sedan. While Shaq does appear a bit squeezed inside of his vehicle, the young kid eagerly asking for the autograph appears even tinier next to Diesel. It is clearly not the smallest vehicle Shaq drives on this list, but as far as Shaq is concerned, it still qualifies as a little vehicle. There are not too many vehicles out there that would not.

Shaq Drives A Sheriff’s Vehicle

Shaq has done a lot to help fight crime. He is a reserve police officer in California, Arizona, and Florida, and a U.S. Deputy Marshal. From tracking down assailants to raiding homes to patrolling the streets, he helps keep the cities safe and streets clean. Shaq officially holds the record for Tallest Sherriff’s Deputy in Clayton County, Georgia, and seeing him pictured next to his colleague it is not at all surprising that he holds this record. The police vehicle behind Shaq appears tiny in comparison, and it is hard to imagine him scrunched up in the vehicle chasing after criminals.

Shaq Drives A Lincoln Cartier L Town Car

Reminiscent of Shaq draped all over the Mini Jeep Wrangler, here he is barely managing to fit into the entire backseat of a Lincoln Cartier L Town Car, despite the added six inches of rear-seat legroom (six inches makes a big difference for average-sized folks but not for Shaq). This luxury sedan made its debut at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show on January 7, 2000. The L editions are distinguished from other editions by their longer rear doors and wider windows. The full-sized luxury sedans will comfortably seat average-size people, but for Shaq, he clearly takes it over.

Shaq Drives A Honda Prelude

A favorite sports car of many teens back in the eighties and nineties, it is amazing that Shaq can even fit and apparently comfortably (at least his upper half - his legs do appear quite cramped), in the two-door Honda Prelude. Sadly, the Prelude was discontinued in 2001 after five generations. By then, sales of the Prelude were not as strong as other Honda offerings. Shaq takes up over half the vehicle, and the woman in the back appears to be on the verge of being compressed by his seat, but she is smiling happily because she is basking in the presence of Shaq.

Shaq Drives A Buick LaCrosse

It seems a feat that the incredible Shaq can squeeze into a Buick LaCrosse. His body seems to take over the entire driver’s seat, and his large knees appear to get in the way of the steering wheel as if he would have to make a constant effort to move his knees away from the wheel while attempting to drive. It would not be surprising if someone had asked Shaq where he is going, and Shaq is pointing in the direction of the closest car dealership, so he can purchase a larger-sized Buick vehicle (actually he got into this vehicle for a commercial). It looks like he might have trouble getting out of the vehicle because his knees might be stuck.

Shaq Drives The Shaqillac DTS

The Shaqillac DTS is probably one of Shaq’s roomier small cars. It is a custom-built burgundy Cadillac DTS by West Coast Customs, a custom repair shop popular with celebrities and one of Shaq’s favorite custom car shops. The Cadillac DTS, pre-customization, was Cadillac’s largest luxury vehicle in 2006 and was initially shown in 2005 at the Chicago Auto Show on February 9. Seeing Shaq sitting in his burgundy Shaqillac, some might argue that DTS actually stands for ‘Definitely Too Small’ as his presence is overwhelming in the front seat (but technically, it stands for DeVille Touring Sedan or D-Series Touring Sedan).
