Most Expensive Cars Of 2018

February 28, 2023

It's the lucky ones who get to toss millions around without breaking the bank. When money is no object, car collecting becomes limitless, and the world is your oyster. While us regular folk can't drop coin like the select few, it's still interesting to know about the most expensive cars out there. Whether it's the Bugatti Chiron or Lykan HyperSport, check out this list of lust-worthy vehicles for car enthusiasts and millionaires alike.

Sweptail Rolls Royce - $13 Million

This one might be off limits for everyone. The Sweptail was built specifically for a top secret buyer who Rolls Royce was not at liberty to discuss. Sitting at a whopping 13 million dollars, this class-of-its own vehicle was concocted with inspiration from popular Rolls models from the 30s and 40s. The Sweptail has exquisitely built custom coachwork reminiscent of the Victorian era, handcrafted leather and wood attache cases, and a panoramic sunroof. The bespoke one-off's bodywork is seamless with "no visible boundary to the surfaces" and is "akin to the hull of a yacht." That's enough fancy to know the interior would be immaculate, especially when you factor in the fiber optic constellations woven into the roof liner.

Up next is a vehicle coated with diamond dust.

Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita - $4.8 Million

The CCXR Trevita was initially meant to be limited edition consisting of three units. The vehicles carbon fiber body is coated with diamond dust and is said to be time-consuming and extremely difficult to make, so much that the CCXR became exclusive to two units only. The colors of the beautiful paint job transform from black to a glimmering white. $4.8 million is quite the chunk of change for a fancy paint job; it's no surprise the two owners are filthy rich. One of them is owned by elite American boxer Floyd Mayweather and the other by Swiss multimillionaire Hans Thomas Ross.

In the next slide, we have a car with a name that translates to blood in Spanish.

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster - $4.5 Million

With a total of nine units built, this super sports car will make drivers feel like they're flying on the road. The full carbon fiber monocoque body gets inspiration from the LP700-4 Aventador, with equally as insane performance. This one is a permanent roadster, and it comes without a roof, yes all that money spent and no roof. Not that it matters, the Veneno Roadster is a piece of art. Regarding competition, there aren't too many supercars out there that are chockful of 750 HP, but some car enthusiasts say Ferrari's F12 Berlinetta Spyder could be a worthy contender.

Up next is a supercar driven off skyscrapers by the late Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.

Lykan Hypersport - $3.4 Million

The Lykan Hypersport is another force to be reckoned with. To nobody's surprise, the Lebanese supercar is also limited in production with a hefty price tag. Some people may think they're getting their money's worth, as the supercars headlights and LED blades are adorned with over 600 15-carat diamonds. Furious 7 fans will also recognize this beast from when Vin Diesel and Paul Walker drove off skyscrapers in the movie. The extremely rare vehicle plunged 45 floors and was smashed to pieces. The Lykan buying experience also includes 24-hour concierge service, and a complimentary Franck Muller Geneva watch unique to the owner.

The next slide features a vehicle that is a strictly limited German machine, first launched in 2005 and only been updated four times.

Bugatti Veyron by Mansory Vivere - $3.4 Million

The leather and carbon-fiber clad sleek Bugatti is the epitome of what automotive tuning powerhouse Mansory Vivere is all about. The Vivere has an exterior that is fit for a car king, the carbon fiber being lacquered to perfection. There is apparently only two versions of this one built and is probably a hot commodity since the Mansory brand is known for creating some of the most amazing works of car art and customizing vehicles exquisitely. Compared to the Bugatti Veyron Vincero, the Vivere had a significant facelift, got a shortened hood, modified wings, and was outfitted with daytime LED lights.

This is just a short version of some of the most enviable cars out there. Serious car lovers don't need to have one in their driveway to appreciate their beauty, but when money is no object, the sky's the limit!
