Interior Features

The luxurious leather French-stitched seats in the XD have heating and cooling options. The center console contains cup holders for front and rear passengers. The cabin has a more spacious feel since Nissan installed the shifter on the steering column rather than on the console. The ‘Zero Gravity’ feature in the two front seats is exceptionally comfortable, and the legroom in the rear of the vehicle feels like the passengers are sitting in a limousine.

Exterior FeaturesNissan added daytime running lights which come on automatically when the car starts, and they turn off when the headlights are used. They eliminate the need to use low beams in the day so it reduces power consumption. They are said to prevent collisions in the day because approaching drivers are able to see them easier from far away. Some upgraded exterior elements include chrome door handles, front tow hooks, and heated adjustable outside mirrors.

TechnologyThe 2016 Titan XD boasts a five-inch color information screen on its instrument panel which monitors diesel usage among other things. An off-road screen provides essential information about the drivetrain and also shows the pitch and roll angles. The sound system offers AM, FM, or CD options played through six speakers. Make and answer calls using Bluetooth technology. Stay a part of the digital world by downloading NissanConnect mobile apps from iTunes or Google Play.

Engine/Fuel EfficiencyThe Cummins engine offered in the 2016 Titan XD is all business. Nissan wanted to increase its performance while creating fuel savings for its customers. This 390 horsepower engine has a respectable 401 lb-ft of torque. Nissan added ‘Variable Valve Event & Lift’ technology which controls the flow of air in its four cylinders. A newly designed piston and a compression ratio of 11.2:1 makes the Titan efficient, and it greatly improves the truck’s performance.

SafetyNissan stays committed to keeping occupants of the Titan safe from harm when involved in a collision. It is fitted with single stage front airbags with venting technology. Without venting a body would feel as if a Mack truck had violently crashed into it. Curtain airbags are installed in the roof so the front and rear occupants are protected from injuries such as head trauma and they prevent bodies from being ejected from the vehicle.
