One key technology feature contributed to the upgrade of the otherwise same old Canyon. Standard Canyon’s offer a 3.6 liter engine with three hundred and five horsepower and two hundred and sixty nine pound-feet of torque. While previous versions of the Canyon provided only seventeen or eighteen combined miles per gallon, the 2016 Canyon was estimated at twenty two miles per gallon.

With its twenty one gallon tank, the 2016 Canyon will make it six hundred miles on a highway road trip before needing fuel. Topping out at a seventy seven hundred pound tow rating, the 2016 Canyon is perfect for hauling a large boat, a two-horse trailer or a camper.

Safety

Onstar is the biggest safety feature in the 2016 Canyon, which will deploy airbags and alert authorities when it senses a collision. The only drawback is the need for an active subscription to receive the safety perk. Other optional safety features include a front collision warning system, lane-departure warning, and large side mirrors to see around blind spots. Extended car models earned a three star rollover rating on both two wheel drive and four wheel drive options.
