Being a celebrity sure has its perks. Aside from the fame, fortune, and exclusive social privileges, celebrities have access to some of the most coveted consumer goods on the market. From rare works of art to unique designer clothing, celebrities can buy things the average person can only dream of. Of course, this means many celebrities amass car collections worthy of any auto museum. Some of these collections contain some of the rarest and most expensive cars on the planet. Want to know who has the best collections? Check out this list of ten celebs who own some of the rarest cars on the planet.

Metallica lead singer James Hetfield’s music is a natural pairing with high-powered muscle cars. Loud, fast music just goes hand-in-hand with loud, fast cars. Aside from his Metallica fame, Hetfield is well-known on the auto scene as a collector and curator of rare and customized cars and has won several custom car competitions. Hetfield is reported to own hundreds of classic and antique cars in various phases of customization and restoration. Mason’s collection includes a 1902 Panhard Levassor and a Bugatti Type 35, one of the rarest and most coveted sports cars in the world. Mason has reportedly begun paring down his collection in recent years, selling off some of the less rare models, but his collection nonetheless remains museum-quality.
