The Metropolitan was an American made car sold as an economy car or a subcompact car between the years of 1953 to 1961. This 1961 AMC Metropolitan is a mostly restored two-door hardtop that required some additional work. It has a bright red paint job and equally bright orange wheels that mean it is sure to go unnoticed wherever it goes. The year 1961 marked the last year of production for the Metropolitan, but sales continued until inventory ran out in 1962.

Anyone searching for a part car, part pickup truck hybrid that is certainly not part of the El Camino family found what they were looking for when they came across the Falcon Ranchero. Although there seems to be a lot of these stories floating around on the internet, there is no way to tell if this one was real or a plea for someone to take pity on him.
