Guide To The Infiniti QX30

August 25, 2021

Enhanced technology, bold design, and power are what drivers can expect from the all-new Infiniti QX30. Recognized for its distinct styling, this crossover also tweaks features taken from Mercedes-Benz, like its exterior design, door-mounted seat controls, and key fob, as well as similar engine and seven-speed automatic transmission. The QX30 has been produced for excellent handling and response for urban dwellers and backroad explorers alike. It is a vehicle that fares well for those wanting the performance without the size nor an abundance of extra space. These reasons will have you searching for an Infiniti and comparing online deals before you know it!

What's New?

Infiniti showcases its own suspension and steering precision, fine-tuning its accuracy. The seven-speed automatic transmission has three driving modes: Eco, Sport and Manual, allowing drivers to customize for conditions. The base models include the front-wheel drive model starting at $30,900 and all-wheel drive for $35,350. The QX3OS is the mid-level, sport model, with performance tires on nineteen-inch wheels. The Premium sits higher for its all-wheel-drive capability and offers an optional panoramic sunroof and safety features.

Exterior Features

The nineteen-inch aluminum-alloy wheels sit under high arches in proportion to the hefty chassis, and are centered by the Infinity logo. The body is accented with lines that pop out, giving it a stylish, bold appearance. Unique to the Infinity are the wide, narrow, signature shape of the head and taillights, which both shine bright with LEDs and wrap around to the side. The front grille sits low and is noticeable with its deep black paint.

Interior Features

The interior has noticeable curved and flowy lines leading from the top of the dashboard through the side doors. The seats were designed with ergonomics in mind, providing comfort and support and has adequate leg room for the driver and front passenger. The rear has seating for three, but critics suggest the roofline is a hazard as it “cuts into the rear-seat headroom”. There is nineteen cubic feet of cargo space at the far back.

Also available are the optional and powerful Bose 10-speaker sound system and the Infinity InTouch, a seven-inch touchscreen, that allows users to stay connected via smartphones.

Engine/Fuel Efficiency

Shift delays are eliminated with the dual clutch transmission, a high-tech addition that determines gear selection ahead of time. Three drive modes are available for varying conditions and fuel efficiency can be enhanced by shifting into Eco Mode, but has been tested to receive 24/32 mpg on city and highway driving.
