Exterior Features
The outward appearance of the 2017 Cadillac XT5 is stunning. Buyers have their pick of four trim colors including luxury, premium luxury, base (XT5) and platinum. It comes with standard eighteen inch wheels, light-emitting diode daytime lights, and automatic headlights. Going with the platinum trim option gets you twenty inch wheels. The larger platform of the upgraded model is two inches wider and helps give the XT5 a smoother, more comfortable ride without looking bulky.
Interior Features
The inside of the vehicle is well recognized as an improvement. It includes plenty of leather, real wood and metal-brushed surfaces for a delicate look. Reviewers noted that despite the lack of power, the smooth ride of the XT5 gets the job done but experienced some problems with shifting during normal traffic rituals such as merging onto the highway. The XT5 boasts an 18 and 26 mile per gallon rating in city traffic and on the highway, respectively.

The XT5 comes with several standard safety features including traction, stability control, anti-lock brakes, front and curtain airbags, On-star support to include crash notification, driver knee airbag, remote door unlocking and assistance if the vehicle is stolen. The XT5 also includes on-demand roadside assistance for emergencies.
