Audi believes there is truth in engineering, and the 2017 Audi A4 compact sedan is proof of that. The German automobile manufacturer made this version wider and longer than the previous A4 models, but it is surprisingly ninety-nine pounds lighter which does result in some savings for savvy car enthusiasts.
Audi spared no expense with the 2017 A4. The transmission and drivetrain are fully upgraded; this machine goes from zero to sixty in less than six seconds and hands down it has more power than the previous versions. It has a price point that definitely competes with the likes of BMW and Mercedes-Benz. And there is much more – like choices in driving modes which allow the driver to access individual, dynamic, comfort, and auto.
This vehicle has separate climate controls for its rear passengers and a moonroof for added air flow. The ambient LED lighting is easy on the eyes. Its steering column has a manually adjusted telescopic tilt. The A4’s power windows are powered up and down by employing a one-touch operation. It has pinch protection which opens the sedan’s window if an obstacle is sensed as it closes. The luxurious leather upholstery comes in three lush colors.
The exterior of the 2017 Audi A4 includes highly efficient bi-xenon headlights also known as high-intensity discharge headlamps. The lights are automatic and have a leveling feature. To improve visibility, the vehicle includes exterior side mirrors which are power adjustable, heated and have integrated LED turn indicator lights. The heated windshield washer nozzles will be useful in colder months. The dual exhaust outlets quickly and efficiently clean out the cylinders to improve the sedan’s performance.
Audi’s latest ‘MultiMedia Interface’ infotainment system puts the fun back in driving. It has preset buttons easily programmed by the user such as calling home, contacting roadside assistance, searching for a particular location, or finding a favorite radio station. The base version of the 2017 A4 comes with a seven-inch center screen and a user-friendly controller. ‘Audi Connect’ even gives the driver a list of available parking garages in the area if none are visible.
This car has a more than affordable price point considering it is designed with more power than any of the previous year’s models. It sports a 2.0L ‘Fuel Stratified Injection’ engine. It gives the sedan an impressive 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque which saves an impressive amount of fuel. That’s not all because the compact automobile even has an improved seven-speed dual clutch ‘S tronic’ transmission included with the standard front wheel drive.
Audi is committed to safety. It offers driver seat and passenger seat dual-stage airbags, front side airbags and ‘Sideguard’ head curtain airbags to augment their seat belt system. The central locking system has a safety unlock feature to protect occupants when the airbags deploy. The occupants in the front seat will be reminded by the car sensors when they are not wearing their seatbelt because the manufacturer installed a reminder system in their A4 sedan.
